==Tribunal Records== From the official records of the Tribunal, held by Field Marshal [[Carline Bright-Eyes]] at the base of the [[Jade Tower]], in the days after the fall of the [[College of Mages]], in which 51 Master Wizards were tried, and most executed.
...and the Amber Dragon, who had no other name, stood before the Tribunal, called to order on the battlefield outside the Jade Tower. The Tower, which had fallen before the might of the Army of the Sun, yet stood, though diminished in the sight of ORB.
“Amber Dragon! You stand accused of heresy of the highest order. You stand accused of consorting with demons, of blaspheming, of calling upon the spirits and forms of the dead, which goes against our Scriptures and our laws. You stand accused of using black magic, which is a sin. You stand accused of crimes both heinous and dark. You stand so accused. What say you?”
And the Amber Dragon, in his shadow of a voice, said,
“Guilty, Your Ladyship. On all counts.”
At this, a murmur went through the assembled crowd, for the Master Wizards had, to the last, proclaimed their innocence. And each, in turn, had been found guilty, and stilled, and executed. And the Field Marshal, leader of the Tribunal, called the assembly to order.
“Dragon! For your confession, shall your life be spared. Your power still is a threat and a sin, and shall be stripped of you, but your life I give you as a lesson to those of the arcanists – that the Sun’s Mercy is as powerful as His Wrath.”
And the Amber Dragon was stilled, and set free, to wander the shadows of the world as long as his will would last him. He was last seen walking east, toward the plains and the desert, where wanders no man, but is the dominion of beasts and nomads.
