==Holidays== ===Day of Mercy=== This is a celebration of the day on which Dame Aelen ascended as the Avatar of Nevari, and brought succor to a desperate people. That they were orcs, former enemies of the Nation of Crescent, made no difference to her, and celebration of this holiday revolves around serving the needs of all people, regardless of their race. It is marked by a laying-down of arms and round-the-clock meal and medical services. Many major medical procedures are scheduled for this day, as it is believed that they will be more successful on that day than otherwise. In game terms, on this day for worshipers of Nevari, all spells within the Life domain restore the maximum amount of possible hit points, all ''Medicine (Wis)'' skill checks are performed with a +5 divine bonus, and ''raise dead'' and ''resurrection'' may have it upgraded by Nevari to the next level on the chain (i.e. ''raise dead'' functions as ''resurrection'', ''resurrection'' functions as ''true resurrection''). The Day of Mercy falls on the 13th of Prosperity every year. ===Aelenmas=== A light-hearted celebration of the birthday of Dame Aelen Wyer, this day is marked by feasts, gift-giving, and merriment. It is a popular day for weddings, which are usually open to all to attend (with a pot-luck reception). Aelenmas falls on 6 Spindle every year.
