The Librera records that the God created the world, and in it two threads of magic. "And the God said, 'let there be, running through this world, two threads of power, the Arcane and the Divine, like night and day, like dark and light, like female and male.' And there is." However, there is an early, more powerful, more primal type of magic - the magic of the God, who created the world with nothing more than the desire to do so. This is the High Magic - the magic of creation in its most basic form. Also known as the Divine Language, even the rudiments of this magic is far more powerful than most mortal magic, and its complexities are beyond mortals entirely. In fact, the High Magic has been explored by very few mortals, and those few who dared speak the Language of the God have been among the most powerful casters in the history of Crescent. A very few magic items are also imbued with the power of the High Magic. See also Word of Creation. ==Mortals and the High Magic== The following mortals are known to be users of the High Magic: *Aurora the Insightful *Some or all of the Jade Tower's Chronomancers *Landor Caladon (Not an actual user of the High Magic, but a scholar and researcher. Had he lived longer, he would have probably learned it.) * Esomelech, Keeper of the Chronicle
