Crescent Dwarves are your typical fantasy dwarf - gruff, a little surly, fond of the drink, but with a heart of gold. They are also loyal without measure, to clan, nation, or companions. Though there are races with larger populations, the dwarves built and are the primary residents of the largest city in the world, Mt. Daneasus.

Naming Conventions[edit]

Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes all follow a similar pattern for their family names. It's very frequently AdjectiveNoun, but what types of Nouns are used differ.

Dwarven nouns are usually metal or mineral - Stone, Iron, etc., or some solid object - Vault, Fist, etc. In this latter case, the adjective is usually a mineral or stone. Examples are StoneFist, StoneVault, GreyRock, FlintStone, WhiteMountain. Dwarves also commonly use "braggin' rights" as names - BridgeCrusher, OrcSlayer, GoblinHunter. Dwarven women take their husband's family name, and children take their father's name.
