Wounded Bear, of the Green Rock Riders[edit]
This Halfling Field Marshal was second in command of the Army of Pelor, and the general charged with the defense of Maxaen from the monster races in the Shattered Isles.
After a disagreement with Dame Aelen Wyer, she blew out the walls of his fortress and established herself as the leader of an entirely new church, taking as her priesthood several armed divisions of Pelor's most battle-ready and hardened forces and many of the best healers in the land. As her flock in the new church, she converted thousands of orcs, half-orcs, and other monsters, who happened to be surrounding the fortress at the time. This led eventually to the signing of the Treaty of St. Kerwyn, in which the Holy Nation of Crescent lost control of arguably the most important military position in the world.
By Dame Wyer's demand in the Treaty, Wounded Bear was recalled from Maxaen and is no longer in command of much of anything beyond a broom closet.
His refusal to allow Dame Wyer to treat the wounded refugees is now a case study within the training camps of the Order of the Sword of Malicean on how not to administrate a fortress; it's been called by some leadership as the single worst decision a military commander has ever made.
