Lady Dara is the head of House Sunglimmer, a merchant family business in Luminaux. An elven woman of indeterminate age, she appears to be the equivalent of human woman in her mid to late 50's, suggesting that Lady Dara is several centuries old. Elegant and known for discretion, wisdom, and keen business sense, she has solidified her role as a central information (and thus power) broker for several decades.
Recently, the House suffered a major physical attack from forces unknown. Suspicion has fallen on a few of the rival merchant houses, but they deny any involvement and no evidence against them has surfaced. The day of the attacks, Lady Dara disappeared but is believed to be in hiding rather than the victim of foul play. The House has been surprisingly capable in continuing to do business under the guidance of its longstanding majordomo, Cordin.
