A small, elite order, the Light is composed of Hunters of the Dead and Sacred Exorcists. The Light's membership is mostly former paladins and clerics, who renounce their affiliation to their original Order upon acceptance into this one.
The Order of the Light of ORB officially cites its founding as an agreement on the battlefield at Windy Point between two dwarves to create an Order dedicated to making sure that the kind of army Shinn the Sorcerer raised would never happen again. Political turmoil prevented them from actually establishing a headquarters until around the Year of the Sun 874 - which at that point was really just makeshift office in one of the smaller churches in Mt. Daneasus. Their new headquarters, completed about 40 years ago, includes the Zoo.
Hunter of the Dead
The most elite of all ORB's troops, these holy warriors track down the walking dead and destroy them with the glory of the sun.
- All of the Orders of the Church may freely multi-class with Hunters, with no penalty. The Light teaches that its members are above politics; that they have a higher mission.
- Paladins and Clerics make the most common Undead Hunters, although very rarely a Monk will find his path leads him to being a Hunter.
- These warriors tend towards an egotism that borders on arrogance. It is perhaps their biggest failing.
- “Scar of Unlife” requirement currently waived during their membership drive.
