Class Notes

Available as described in Player’s Handbook, with the following notes:

Warlocks may serve one of the following Otherworldly Patrons:

• Archfey (PHB)
  • Many of Crustan's Spirit Animals would qualify for this. See Cleric for more detail. There might be others as well.
• Fiend (PHB)
  • Shinn the Sorcerer might qualify for this. There are certainly others as well.
• Great Old One (PHB)
  • Creepy monsters from outside this reality.
• Celestial (Xanathar's)
  • The archangels of Pelor and most of the Sages of Mehana would qualify for this. See Cleric for more detail. There might be others as well.
• Hexblade (Xanathar's)
• Fathomless (Tasha's)
• Genie (Tasha's)
  • The King of Smoke, the Efreet ruler of the City-State of Haven, would definitely qualify.

It's worth noting that, just like the cleric, if you serve a patron, you are expected to carry out the will of that patron in the world. Work with the DM to define what that is, and expect it to complicate your life.

Domains and Proficiencies

Warlocks of Archfey, Celestial, or Fiendish Patrons who offer the War and Forge domains to their clerics have proficiency in Firearms. Hexblades also have proficiency in Firearms.

Alignment Restrictions

Warlocks of Archfey, Celestial, or Fiendish Patrons are restricted to the same alignments as Clerics that patron.
