Genasi

Much like the other planetouched, Genasi carry with them the blood of an otherworldly creature. In this case, though, it is a creature of one of the elemental planes: Djinn, Efreeti, Tritons, etc.

Appearance

No two air genasi look the same. Some will have light blue or pale white skin; others have similarly colored hair. Some of them even have a slight breeze following them wherever they go, or make a whooshing sound when moving suddenly. Their traits tend to be somewhat subtle, so feel free to improvise.

Alignment

Genasi have no particular alignment tendencies.

Language

Genasi speak Common.

Attitude

Air Genasi are typically proud of their heritage. They are also afflicted with wanderlust, typically wanting to go where the wind leads them. They have a tendency to choose a duelist-style of fighting over the more power-oriented, battleaxe wielding style.

Racial Traits

• Genasi are level +1 characters - this means that a Genasi with one class level is treated as a second level character.
• +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, -2 Wisdom, -2 Intelligence. Air Genasi are quick of hand and quite forceful, but easily distracted and a little slow.
• Medium Size: Genasi are medium sized. They have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Genasi base speed is 30 feet.
• +1 racial bonus to saving throws against all air spells and effects. This bonus increases by +1 for every five class levels the character obtains.
• Breathless: Air genasi do not breathe, so they are immune to drowning, suffocation, and attacks that require inhalation.
• Spell-Like Powers: Once per day, an air genasi can cast levitate as a sorcerer of fifth level.
• Racial feats: Air Genasi have access to the Improved Levitation and Elemental Bloodlines feats (see the DM for more details on those).
• Favored Class: Bard
