The southwest is the home of the humans. Their land is mostly fertile plain, with a small desert to the east and lots of coastal area. The Humans, typically, have numerous small cities.
The biggest city is known as Maxaen, a military-run city on the coast across from the Star Islands.
Smaller but notable cities include:
- Velora, which lies at the crossing of several major trade routes, at the border between the plains and the forest.
- Wild's Reef, at the edge of the sea. Listed with the Island of Lost Souls because the two are very closely linked in the minds of the people of Crescent.
- St. Kerwyn, roughly halfway between Velora and Maxean, this merchant town also marks the origin of the Desert Road leading east into the Sae duChaad and towards Hotempa.
