Examination of the spring reveals that the water level is significantly lower now than in the past.

The Desrt Beetle is considered the last bastion of civilization in the waste, and most traders stop there, trade with the nomads and the desert people for the riches of the desert, then turn around and head back to Hotempa and St. Kerwyn.
