Once one of the most revered of the Divine Orders, these Mage Hunters were trained to hunt and destroy wizards, sorcerers, and other practitioners of arcane magic. They were mostly former monks, who used the tools of arcana - wands, scrolls, and other blasphemous relics - against their creators.

That was the cover story, anyway. Most Hunters were involved with, or directly members of, the Shepard's Trail, an organization dedicated to secretly transporting child arcanists to the City-State of Haven, where they received training to control their power and live a normal life.

With the recent declaration of independence by the Jade Imperium, nearly all of these monks have elected to relocate, severing their official ties with the government of ORB - though not their faith - and moving either to the Jade Tower or Haven. Consequently, this group has effectively been subsumed into the Shepard's Trail and the Imperium.

The Holy Compass was based out of the Fist's monastery in Wild's Reef, which has now been repossessed by the Church of Crescent.
