Story
Master Laughing Crane was, once, a member of the Order of the Fist of Reverence, in the time of the Scarlet War. Witness to the Tribunal held after the fall of the Jade Tower, he began to have second thoughts about the righteousness of the war against the arcanists. These thoughts apparently led to a fall from grace, as he abandoned his vows and his faith, and began to wander the world.
Strangely long-lived, he eventually alighted in Haven, taking up residence at the Chapel of the Mind. Making a living there as an instructor, he was assigned to a young and very powerful sorceress named Baelwren SummerStorm. Drawing upon his meditative training as a monk, he taught her the ways of Samadhi, or one-pointedness of mind, and she was able to achieve control over her power, an accomplishment which none of her other instructors ever believed her capable.
After she left Haven, he stayed on, and welcomed her back with open arms and words of wisdom. He then elected to leave Haven, and journeyed to the Monastery at Wild's Reef, where he hoped to renew his faith in ORB and reclaim what he once lost.
He appeared out of the blue at the wedding of Sir Jericho Templar and Baelwren Summerstorm, and gave the bride away. When she went to find him after the ceremony, he had again disappeared.
