There are few weapons in the history of Crescent that have ever turned the tide of history. Nychtophobos, Luz Solare, Faithbrand, the Hammer of StoneFist... All are weapons of great power, yet in the hands of a normal user, the legendary weapon is simply a magic item with a small enhancement bonus (usually +1 or +2, or sometimes as high as +3 for truly powerful legendary weapons). But by taking levels in the prestige class, a character can unlock and utilize the weapon’s more advanced powers.

  • As each legendary weapon is unique, there is no Order or guild for their scions.
  • Anyone may multi-class as a Scion, provided that they meet the entrance requirements, obtain one of the artifacts, and are chosen by that artifact as its next scion.
  • Note that the Church of the Sun and Moon has in its possession at least one of the known artifact weapons, Faithbrand, the sword of Malicean. Its also plausible that there are others in the possession of the Church.
