Fist of Reverence
This order, composed of Monks, is the smallest and least politically powerful of the three Sacred Orders. The Fist of Reverence has a long-standing rivalry with the Sword of Malicean, which began at the end of the Scarlet War.
The biggest monastery is in Wild's Reef.
Monks
This character class is available with the following notes:
- Members of the Fist must be of Good alignment, and CANNOT be of lawful alignment. All references to lawful alignment in the PHB should be changed accordingly. Further, they tend strongly towards the Chaotic viewpoint, perhaps as a counterpoint to the Sword.
- Members of the Fist who leave their order retain their abilities, but without access to a monastery, cannot train for new abilities and are therefore frozen at their level.
- Monks are very secretive about their fighting arts; they consider it a gift from ORB. Therefore, any monk who teaches a nonmember the art is expelled from the Fist.
- Any monk who joins a non-monk compatible class is also expelled.
- However, Monks may take levels in the Cleric class, provided that their cleric level is always at least one level lower than their monk level. They retain their affiliation with their original Order.
- Knowledge (Religion) and Use Magic Item are class skills for Monks
- There are a few, special weapons that they may use with their unarmed bonuses, rather than as normal weapons. To add a little variety, two new weapons are being introduced to this list: Escrima or Tonfa.
- At 6th level, a Monk may take Turn Undead instead of their normal bonus feat choice. They turn undead exactly as a paladin of their monk level.
