Devoted Defender

The top of the field when it comes to personal bodyguards.

• Members of the Order of the Sword of Malicean may freely multi-class as Devoted Defenders, provided they are protecting people assigned to them by the Elders of the Church. If they choose to use this class to protect people on a freelance basis, they lose their paladin class benefits just as though they multi-classed into a forbidden class.
• Note: This prestige class has not been updated to 3.5e, but there are no major incompatibilities.
