Half-Orc
Originally the product of rape and pillage attacks by the orcs in the southlands, many half-orcs now, like half-elves, are the product of unions between two half-orcs. Drawn together by their own rejection from society, they have formed small, tight-knit communities dotting the southlands. They retain much of the fierceness of their orcish blood, but also gain some of the versatility of their human lineage.
Though elves and orcs are technically interfertile, half-orc/half-elves are exceedingly rare, because while some human women might choose to allow herself to give birth to an orcish child, virtually all elven women would rather die.
Naming Conventions[edit]
Most half-orcs that have survived their childhood, or those in the half-orc communities, have followed human conventions with naming. Many, though, choose their own names, breaking with their human family lineage. These names often reflect their orcish heritage, being violent or natural in flavor.
Character Notes[edit]
Half-orcs are available as listed in the Player's Handbook without modification.
With the ascension of Nevari recently, many half-orcs are turning to worship her over Erythnul.
