Daedelus Matchpocket

Not much is known about this enigmatic Gnome, but he is considered to be the Maker of the SoulForged. His research on fusing some sort of elemental spirit to an automaton apparently worked better than anyone could have predicted.

What is known is very basic: He lives in Ferrodyne, he continues his work, and his workshop, guarded by machines and SoulForged, is probably one of the most secure facilities on the continent. SoulForged all, to the last, refuse to talk about what's inside, about their Maker, or the process of being born. It's been theorized that they can't talk about it; that there is a magic lock on their brains that prevents them from spilling the secrets.

It has been speculated within the Ministry of Engineering that Daedelus used a Word of Creation to create the first SoulForged. Confirmation or refutation of this rumor has so far been impossible.
