Excerpt from Early Light: The Company of the Lamp, by Duram Gangi

An adventuring party founded in Sun-year 371, the Company of the Lamp was a shining beacon of heroism and righteousness, inspiring many ballads and stories. Their company was disbanded after suffering heavy casualties when they clashed with and took down Va'aster DarkLight, in the Year of the Sun 377.

Valen of the Wooden Wheel
Halfling Rogue and trap master. Survived the battle, but never adventured again.
Elan HeartStorm
Elf Cleric. Survived the battle, retired to teach combat magic at the Spire.
Argus SunSpot
Dwarf Paladin, master of the warhammer, wielder of Dalende Ster, the Maul of the Falling Star. Fell in the battle against DarkLight. Grandfather of Saint StoneFist, who inherited Dalende Ster.
Magnus SunSpot
Dwarf Fighter, Brother to Argus, master of the spear, wielder of Wassen Ster, the Lance of the Rising Star. His spear was also passed down to Saint StoneFist. Fell defending his brother's body from the Lich's legion of summoned undead.
Jorill Tempest
Human Wizard, fell in battle with DarkLight.
Merrick Fletcher
Human Ranger and Holy Archer. Died in the battle against DarkLight.
Silea, daughter of Connell
Half-Elf Monk. Struck the final blow against DarkLight, but was felled by one of his minions.
