The southwest is the home of the humans. Their land is mostly fertile plain, with a small desert to the east and lots of coastal area. The Humans, typically, have numerous small cities.

The biggest city is known as Maxaen, a military-run city on the coast across from the Shattered Isles.

Smaller but notable cities include:

Velora, which lies at the crossing of several major trade routes, at the border between the plains and the forest.
Wild's Reef, at the edge of the sea. Listed with the Island of Lost Souls because the two are very closely linked in the minds of the people of Crescent.
St. Kerwyn: roughly halfway between Velora and Maxean, this merchant town also marks the origin of the Southern Highway leading east into the desert and towards Hotempa.
Luzern, the home of the Order of the Legacy of the Mind and Heart.
