Much like the other planetouched (Aasimar and Tiefling) , Genasi carry with them the blood of an otherworldly creature. In this case, though, it is a creature of one of the elemental planes: Djinn, Efreeti, Tritons, etc.
Genasi show the signs of their elemental heritage outwardly, and each of them has some element-dependant powers.
They come in four types, one for each of the classic elements: Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.
