The Burning Plague
The three companions - Kimo FallenLeaf (an Elven monk, fond of drink), Perrin Forester (a young Human ranger, shy but good with a bow), and Jericho Arnon (A Half-Elf cleric, cousin to Kimo on his mother's side and Perrin on his father's) - rescue a small mining town from the Burning Plague. They fought a dire weasel, a group of kobolds, some zombies, and an Orc Druid/Necromancer. Perrin fell victim to a thunderstone trap and was deaf for most of the adventure.

Cloak of Resistance +1 (Perrin still wears this)
The Burning Plague - A short epic by Jericho Arnon[edit]
Three wanderers were they, young friends in search of excitement.
Kimo, brother of the Fist, an elf with thoughts both holy and worldly.
Perrin, a human at home in the trees, master of bow and woodcraft.
And Jericho, singer of songs, writer of poems, child of elf and man.
Spending their time in search of simple pleasures, they heard a call.
A small town, beset by plague, high in the mountains
Where silver lay in wait for those with the strength to take it.
Innocent miners, simple and true, were falling, and no one knew why.
They carried with them a gift from ORB, potions divine to fight the disease.
But holy magic alone could not save the town,
For the town's water was foul, where before had been pure
and strong men had died in the mine.
At the mouth of the cave, Kimo's elven eyes saw signs of a fight.
Brave men had died but were not to be found.
Only silent blood remained to tell of their end.
Three friends, brave and true, pressed onwards, but fell victims themselves.
Some foul creatures, lacking in honor, laid a trap for those yet to come.
Brave Perrin, man of the bow, bore the brunt, as a magic stone fell,
With runes all aglow it exploded, and Perrin was deaf.
But the friends were soon repaid for this act of cowardice,
When, in fair battle, nine kobolds were slain
And their evil pet too.
The wrath of the righteous spares not the treacherous.
More traps had been laid, by treacherous kobold
A hole in the ground, and Kimo fell prey
But strong magic of healing, and great strength of courage
Let our heroes press onward, to meet with their fate.
Hidden in a cavern most dark, more kobolds did wait
But by now, they were fearful, their traps did not work
They asked for fair passage, instead of a fight
And told of a demon, who thrived in the dark
Men of honor, were the companions
To let M'dok free with his band
And press onwards in search of what lurked in the cave
Trusting in ORB, and in steel and courage
In a chamber most foul, a crypt in the mine
Were our heroes witness to the blackest of sights
Risen from their rest, reeking of death
Nine corpses stood guard, unholy and dark
Our heroes drew steel, strong weapons to fight
And returned to their rest all nine of the guards
With Kimo's prayer for their souls
the party pressed on with their task.
One chamber remained, the last of the mine.
And the party was faced with their demon
Who called out from the dark
"I am Jakx, of the Torn Claws, and it's a good day to die!"
A cloud of mist rose from the ground, dishonorable spell
But the men never lacked for courage, and ventured in.
Kimo fell first, to the orc's devil wolf
Jericho, loyal friend, slew the wolf and was slain in return
And Perrin was alone, left to fight in the fog.
The forces of light triumphed, Glory to ORB
As Perrin's deadly bow found it's mark.
Jakx was dead, his plague died with him
And the water ran clear again in Duvik's pass.
Perrin's friends were revived, a joyous day for all
and the miners returned to their craft.
